There are still a few last minute gifts I need to pick up as well so I need to find some time to get that done. Anyway, enjoy your Christmas and we hope you get lots of presents.
I always seem to be late when it comes to the good stuff, but oh well, this one is still worth blogging about. Check out the size of this burger made by Burger King to help promote both the Burger King company as well Microsoft’s new Windows 7 OS in Japan. On Friday Google announced a new feature that will allow users faster access directly to parts of a larger web page. Users can now navigate directly to the relevant section instead of scrolling through the page to find the information they want to know about. Google says that the links are auto generated and that they can be displayed for any site. These links can not be paid for but there are some things that you can do to your site to help get them displayed.
If you have a page with multiple topics make sure that each topic is broken into sections and that the page is well structured.
Make sure that each section uses your keywords as the anchor, this is best because the links will only show up on relevant search queries so you want to make sure that you are giving your page the best chance possible to get listed. Read more…
Google has just released a new plugin to the google toolbar for Firefox and Internet Explorer which will allow you to post a comment on any webpage on the internet. Although this idea has been tried before by other web browsers, Google plans to use an algorithm that will rank comments by quality and then link those comments to a user’s Google Profile. Now of course the first thing most spammers will try to do with this is find a way to abuse it, but Google Sidewiki will feature an algorithm that can filter out obvious spam and other techniques used by those who like to try and trick the search engines. Only Google Toolbar users will be able to see the comments on the Web page, but Google plans to work on an API that will allow developers to use Sidewiki in other places.

First off I want to say that I thought these guys gave one hell of a presentation for their My Therapy Journal website. I also think that their idea and site is pretty darn good too. Although I have to say that their service is most likely not for everyone, but it is unique. Their site allows you to create a private diary to store your personal daily thoughts and feelings in a secure environment. The site also features a Progress Graphâ„¢ which tracks the way you have been feeling over time. Again, not a bad idea if you like to write alot and keep a daily dairy.
But on to the deal that they made in the show. Read more…
