Jets vs Colts Pick

Today we find out if the Jets really have what it takes to get to the Super Bowl. Now although I think that the Jets have played some pretty good football the last few weeks I just don’t think they will be able to do enough against Manning and the Colts. Since the Colts don’t have to worry about the Chargers this time it should be a pretty easy win, but then again, this is the playoffs and anything can happen.

Anyway, I like the Colts to take this one, just because the Jets slide one past them a few weeks ago I don’t see that happening today. Well enjoy the game and go Colts.

Todays Playoff Picks

We’ve got some good playoff games today so I just wanted to share my picks. I like the Vikings over the Cowboys, mainly because of AP (my boy from the Sooners). And I like the Jets over the Chargers, only because my brother is a Chargers fan so I have to go against him in something. Well it’s almost time for kickoff so I gotta get the beer and snacks ready. As always, thanks for reading.

Reminder: Backup Your Files

If there is one thing I don’t like about data base driven websites it is the fact that if you don’t backup your files from time to time then can easily lose everything. Since switching to WordPress I have had to restore a backup at least 2 times. Now the reason for this is mostly my fault, but it is still a pain to deal with. Read more…

Pete Carroll: New Seahawks Coach

Pete Carroll has stepped down as head coach of USC and is now heading to Seattle to coach the Seahawks. The news comes after just a few days from Jim Mora being fired, Mora was fired Friday after finishing his first season as head coach with a 5-11 record. This isn’t the first time Pete Carroll has coached in the NFL but his record isn’t that great, he was fired by the New York Jets after one season in 1994 and later by the New England Patriots in 1997. Office 2010 Prices

Starting in June of 2010 Microsoft will start selling their new Office 2010 program, with prices ranging from $100 to $500. The biggest change is that buyers can pay less by forgoing the full boxed copy in favor of a card with only a product key code.  Office 2010 will mark the debut of free online versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote, which will work in popular web browsers (Windows Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Apple Safari) but not in the Opera browser. Microsoft will offer the following 4 versions of the program: Read more…

Chris Johnson Gets 2,000 Yards

If you watched the Seattle vs Tennessee game on Sunday then I’m sure you saw Chris Johnson break the 2,000 yards mark. For the most part it was a pretty close game and Seattle was doing their best to keep Johnson from getting the record but it just wasn’t enough. Johnson became the sixth player in NFL history to rush for 2,000 yards in a season and has now joined Eric Dickerson, Jamal Lewis, Barry Sanders, Terrell Davis and O.J. Simpson in the 2,000-yard club. Read more…
